Vicki’s Bird Watching is a sport that you can participate in while sitting at your computer if you’re lucky enough to have a window or a glass door like me with such a great view of the bird feeder.
Or if you’re lucky enough to live on the edge of a park which offers so many of nature’s wild friends, like here in Badenweiler.
A pair of binoculars is all you need to observe the behavior and the features of the feathered friends if they don’t come close enough to your house. Through the lens of a binoculars, you can slip into their world while sitting in your favorite easy chair. Sometimes I watch a woodpecker directly from our balcony pecking away on a tree with the sound echoing into the valley. His colors are beautiful. Unfortunately I don’t have a zoom strong enough to capture him on film, nor the Magpie which is shy of humans and flies away when he sees me.
