The Spook House entrance 2004

I have no children of my own, but I love to give any children the joy that a flickering jack-o-lantern brings. I lined them all up in a row by my doorstep so that our neighbor’s little boy Elio who is 4 could see them from his bedroom window. One night as I got them all going, his innocent little voice called out in the still of the night, “Aunt Vick, that looks beautiful”. That was payment enough for all my pumpkin carving, besides the joy that I get from them myself.
